Churches of Montgomery County

A state charter wasd granted for a bank in Norristown in 1812, in 1814 the Bank of Montgomery Conty was established and remained the only bank in Montgomery County until 1857.

Little Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church
Little Zion Lutheran Church has a long history in the Franconia-Indianfield community. The first church building at Indianfield was a log cabin, built in 1730, on one acre of land donated by Ludwig Zirkel. In 1758 Indianfield Church united with other Lutheran churches to form a parish. The original stone building was constructed in 1792. The name Little Zion was adopted in 1875.
